Nrl Lab
Currently there are available the following machines (for simulation):
NOTE: hyperthreaded processors are quivalent to 2 processors. It is possible to run two simulations or tasks at the same time. Please check if other users have simulations/tasks running before you run your programs. To check that, use the command 'top'.
You can log on the machines via ssh.
The machines share the same filesystem (located on a different server, for what it matters).
To change the password, use the command yppasswd. This will change the password among the cluster and THE PASSWORD OF YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT TOO.

Mail Account for Guests or Visiting Scholars/Researchers
If you are a guest or a visiting scholar/researcher at NRL Lab (Gerla's Lab) and a mail account was assigned to you, you can use this settings:
SMTP server: nrl.cs.ucla.edu
SECURE IMAP server: nrl.cs.ucla.edu (port 993)
SECURE POP server: nrl.cs.ucla.edu (port 995)
Your email address is: your_account_name@nrl.cs.ucla.edu.
You can send mails through nrl.cs.ucla.edu only from a host with an IP address of NRL LAB OR you can first POP/IMAP the mail server from a generic IP address and after this operation you are allowed to send mails for few minutes.
To change the password, please refer to the SECTION AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE. It will change the email password too.
